Last month on my lunch break I decided to take Bro. Bedford up on his invite for a peer to peer small business phone session and call him for some advice and he hit me with some overlooked yet colossal moves to expand my brand:
a) Approach my craft at a different angle – Instead of coverage on recent events, how about interviewing those artists/enthusiasts/poets/experts/businessmen in the art industry
b) Once the interviews are completed post the full interview on my website or setup a YouTube video or audio blog
c) Create good, challenging but different questions for the Q+A session
d) Leverage my expertise and status with the interviewee so that I enhance the work thus giving my advertising viewpoint an upgrade
I’m currently working on my questions and I have a rough draft of candidates I want to interview off the rip (H. Massey, F. Morrison, E. Camel) so this plan is definitely in motion – Now I have to free up time and grasp the opportunity.
