Trying to accept the reality of Life without Mom

(Depression) Ξ Title Intro: I was going to go with the normal rigmarole of a small business struggle lesson, but my heart is somewhat stuck. On July 18th 2017 my dear mother, Jacqueline Elaine Phillips-Rowe made her unexpected but natural transition. Words simply can’t describe how I’m feeling to see her gone. I’m trying to mentally adjust on a daily basis; it’s just going to have to take time. I tried to express my mindset with something close like this, but if I went on and on I’d fall back into deep lament and she wouldn’t want that. So onward I will keep it.

(Mental Anguish) Ξ Quote of The Bi-Month: ‘Adversity introduces a man to himself’ ~ Albert Einstein

(Unmotivated & Alone) Ξ Business Transgressions: I’ve reconnected with freelance artist Eric Leggs whom I met in the Detroit Public Library several years ago when I was scouting for an up and coming illustrator but we could never get our timing right on ideas that we had then. So now that proper timing has met opportunity we’ve started on a brand spanking new project and honestly the mere skeletons that he’s showed me have me amazed to see how he’s going to expound his foundational work.

(Heavy Hearted) Ξ Local Events: Check out my good dude Henry Harper’s new Facebook page Detroit Fine Arts Breakfast Club to plug your self into the latest & greatest painters, curators, directors, photographers, illustrators, scultpers and artwork events in the community and state. Click right here to be immediately connected to join.

(Emotionally Disconnected) Ξ Man Law #11: Definition of a S.I.M.P. – A sucker’s investment in a meaningless pursuit. Note to the mentally weak: Do your self a favor and get out of the horribly bad habit of wasting unnecessary resources, time and energy on women who you constantly have to walk, talk, flirt and chase their skirts simply to………..get their phone number? Some women can almost literally smell the desperation from some men and they’ll play on it to bilking you out of whatever you can offer them that particular day while still dangling the possibility of initiating the process of courting them. Have you ever seen a mouse on a spinning wheel with a piece of cheese hanging over it for daily motivation? That’s exactly how some of the men are willfully getting manipulated by a lot of the opposite sex. Get your ass up off the treadmill and draw in your own worthy prospects to choose from in favor of more cooperative scenarios.

(Tearful) Ξ To wrap this up: Appreciate, honor and love your parents a little harder than normal, please. Life has its twists, turns and unforeseen gut punches. Take the time to tell them how much you realize how valuable they were in your developmental upbringing. We as humans can prepare and plan for circumstances as diligently and disciplined as possible, but when The Creator calls them home we have to respect his decision. Nothing on earth is promised, especially tomorrow.

Until Next Time,

Aquil H. Rowe
