Intro: Besides campaigning to the black community toward expanding our knowledge base during Black History Month, The Black Panther film broke the typical standard of Hollywood’s frantic attempt to crowbar a Caucasian savior into an all black cast, shattering the falsehood that black driven movies don’t produce enormous revenue streams ($704 million plus thus far!) and lastly the next generation in line can look upon this as a symbolically inspiring tale to harvest a continuing lineage to seek great images of our people in multiple avenues while being in an ownership position of our arts, vision, media, commerce, and self esteem. Money talks high volumes and it’s saying a transformative renaissance will be here quicker than one might imagine.

The Entrepreneur Push: Breaking business news – I have finally completed my five poem set! Hooray!!!!! The recent batch is undergoing revisions via Landmine Designs (Shout Out) and I’m more than confident that the final layout will raise the bar of excellence and may make my peers nervous. Next Stop: Physical print outs for portfolio and then lining up that timely random Call to Artists showcases around the city.

Local Events: My first Pistons game at the new arena a couple of weeks ago was my essential Valentine’s Day gift to myself. Besides, the Atlanta Hawks’ level of ineptitude don’t exactly scream ‘Great first date idea’ to most sports attentive females.

My last thing: To this very day I’m still transferring my old organizer intel to my new one and even though I need to start reading a new book like pronto, overall this year has started on a firm note. I just need to constantly remind myself to complete one project a day while not getting overwhelmed by the unexpected, distracting sidebars.
