Merrily waiting for 2020 to fade into oblivion forever.

I literally hate the year 2020. Talk about adjustments on the fly and being couped up in the house at a dismal, unhealthy rate. My last entry was mid – February before the pandemic made its way to Michigan and by far the #1 story of the year on the planet Earth unsuspecedly touched, ruined and killed so many lives.

Since discovery of the source from China several theories have emerged as a man made or perhaps karma produced virus changing life itself from dating, health, social distancing, recreation, conducting meetings, working at your place of employment and so on. So is a questionable at best vaccine really supposed to make the old way from this tragic pandemic appear regular again? Is this the permanent new normal? More stories of people properly recovering from this are encouraging yet the agitators of madness insist on making next year just as difficult as this one.

May I go through a quick synopsis beginning in March to the current month of December of my year’s timeline:

March: I got prepared for any and every reasonable scenario possible. Unlike the previous slew of harmful manufactured pestilence of  yesterday such as AIDS, Swine Flu, Autism, Ebola, West Nile Virus, Herpes, SARS and this COVID-19 monster seems a tad different. Politicians covered their own dirt as usual to deflect culpability, but this monstrosity affected the entire globe. There’s always opportunity in a tragedy so once FDA started presenting a “solution” I knew a better alternative was present somewhere on the planet.

April: Rowe Family Reunion in May = CANCELLED!!!!!………Luckily Ramadan was a successful experience again. Something else happened though: The anti-black racism response from the continent of China during the pandemic was interesting to witness mass deflection viewpoints and actions of treating black people inhumanely was something that made me realize even more that a lot of people revealed their hidden ugliness once great difficulty took a hold for the worst. You want to know whose really in your inner circle? Pressure is the best tool to indicate such.

May: Vacation group Cancun trip = CANCELLED!!!!!……Beyond annoyed and mad as hell.

June: Closed the deal to being hired to a new job. A different schedule which requires different pace and energy commitment so I struggled to begin but eventually got to my expectations.

July: Generously awarded an SBA loan which was converted to a small business grant to finance future overhead marketing/graphic design endeavors. The Minnesota riots from the George Floyd murder interestingly exposed multiple looting attempts from individuals outside of the black community.

August: Man, look: Throughout this year a lot of marriages have gone through domestic squabbles and divorces. Way too many couples that’ve broken up to make up only to break down again so another tall tell sign is that maybe people don’t know their spouse the way they thought they did.

September: Depression and anxiety were on high alert when my other uncle Vaughn was hospitalized (Non Covid related), but with Allah’s help along with myself and his girlfriend Denise that he was able to rehabilitate from his condition and was transferred home to continue regaining his full range of motion.

October: Discussed matters with my therapist to shake off my own mental funk while trying to concentrate on needing assistance for new or reworked goals to accomplish for the decade. To make the month full circle, I set up an appointment with my alternative doctor for my yearly checkup in November. (Results: Great bill of health with concerted efforts to work on weight, enzyme breakdowns and stress.)

November: I sent out my first Ancestry.com DNA sampled kit last month. I can’t wait for the results. Oh yeah – Joe Biden/Kamala Harris democrat combo wins election. Immediate reaction: #Shouldershrug, #Instantapathy. I have a lot of people have difficulty telling me the distinct difference between once racist scum (Trump) from the other (Biden).

December: Reminiscing on the great, tough and uplifting elementary, middle school, high school and college years. To keep it a buck, after ordering some Delaware State University gear on the recommendation of my bro Siyani and going through several of the throwback yearbooks, I shockingly realize it’s been a little past twenty years since I walked across stage as a graduate.

After running through English High School, and visiting John P. Holland Elementary and MLK Middle School on the outside last year to soak in my lost adolescence, I was undoubetly on a inspirational high. Time certainly flies by when youre trying to get your life properly in order to shine the brightest.

The Entrepreneurial Push: The unexpected passing of my hired freelance artist, Eric Leggs, put a damper on our almost finished project and submerged me into another moment of grief. Sometime in August I met Mike Errigo to help take the project to the finish line. They both deserve equal credit so I only felt it was right to have Mike put both of their autographs at the bottom of the masterpiece.

Quote of the Bi-Month: ‘Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we fear far less.’ ~ Marie Curie

Outside of box thought: Low key, for 2021 I’m trying to predict the next marketing trend for my small business and perhaps social media assistance will be here quicker to impact things faster than expected. After conducting a thorough questionnaire on my direct approach, strengths and weaknesses, etc., I’m very much open to new ideas and new energy for a better game plan.

Man Law #118: Courtesy of the homie Oshay Duke Jackson, gentlemen I lay out three crystal clear examples as to why some women just don’t deserve the tiara/ring package. There’s been a torrent of celebrity divorces this year so before you intend on marrying her ask yourself this: Is she your official number one woman or is she in the wrong slot?

Before I slide out – There’s a lot of farewells this year so I’ll just get right to it:

Kobe “#24” Bryant – January

Eric Leggs – February

Uncle Khalid Muhummad (6/29/20)

George Floyd – Summer

Chadwick Boseman (8/28/20 – Wakanda Forever!!!!!)

Sean Reed – Late fall

Cousin Jeff (Blount family tree) – Late fall

M.F. Doom – October (Mmm……Food? album: Dope)

Tiny ‘Zeus’ Lester – December

Benny Napolean – December

Natalie Reed – December

K.C. Jones – December

And everyone else who lost someone whether by the Covid pandemic, unforseen or natural causes, I say you have my utmost condolences and Rest In Peace.

What pleasant thing can I say to end this year and blog? 2020 summarized in a word: putrid.
